The coronation of Queen Victoria took place in 1837. She celebrated her Golden Jubilee in 1887 and her Diamond Jubilee in 1897. There were commemorative items of all those events, but 1881 was not a particularly memorable year in her reign. There was another Queen Victoria (of Sweden) to whom it was an important year. Princess Viktoria (as she then was) married on September 20, 1881 Crown Prince Gustaf of Sweden and Norway, the son of King Oscar II of Sweden and Norway and Queen Sofia of Sweden and Norway (née Princess Sophia of Nassau). Princess Viktoria then became Princess Victoria.
